A memorial service for longtime Nashville media personality Mark Howard, who died on July 24, has been set for Sept. 8 at Congregation Micah on Old Hickory Boulevard in Brentwood.
It will begin at 10 a.m.
Howard, who was 65, spent more than 35 years on Nashville television and radio.
After starting his career in Evansville, Indiana, Howard became the weekend sports anchor at NewsChannel 5 in 1986.
After 20 years at Channel 5, Howard started a local political radio show.
He then became co-host of the “Wake Up Zone” on The Zone 104.5-FM, which dominated morning drive for many years.
Howard left the “Wake Up Zone” in 2020 and spent time this past year filling in for hosts on The Game 102.5-FM.
Howard also spent many years as host of a Tennessee Titans postgame show and as co-host of the Predators pregame and postgame shows.
